Meet Our Team Members Dr. MaryEllen Eller, MD
Dr. MaryEllen Eller is a distinguished board-certified psychiatrist through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology who currently serves as the Medical Director for Time Wellness – Tennessee. With comprehensive training and a diverse range of clinical experience, Dr. Eller brings exceptional expertise to her leadership role.
Dr. Eller’s academic journey began at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to receive her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, followed by residency training at the Loma Linda University Department of Psychiatry. During her residency, she focused on general adult psychiatry with special emphasis in leadership and performance optimization.
As a certified master psychopharmacologist through the Neuroscience Education Institute, Dr. Eller possesses specialized expertise in the complex interplay of psychiatric medications and neurological processes. This advanced certification reflects her commitment to evidence-based treatment and precision in medication management to optimize patient outcomes.
Dr. Eller’s career at Loma Linda University in California was marked by progressive responsibility and leadership. She served three years as a resident physician in the university’s department of psychiatry before advancing to the role of chief resident. Additionally, she worked as a per diem psychiatrist in the inpatient chemical dependency unit at the university’s Behavioral Medicine Center.
Post-residency training, Dr. Eller has held several prestigious positions alongside her role as Medical Director at Time Wellness. These roles have included various leadership and Medical Director positions in the Chattanooga area including: attending psychiatrist for an inpatient thought disorder unit, Medical Director for Electroconvulsive Services and Medical Director for Outpatient Services. Dr. Eller also oversaw outpatient mental health services and mid-level supervision for Ascension St Thomas. She continues to provide direct and indirect patient care in a variety of avenues and consultation as a psychiatric expert witness.
With her extensive clinical background, specialized certifications, and leadership experience, Dr. Eller is exceptionally qualified to guide patients toward improved mental health and wellness.
